Woolworths
“It’s all about meeting the needs of this growing community,” said Glen Fowler, State Property Portfolio Manager at Woolworths. We’re delighted to have the opportunity to bring a new Woolworths supermarket to Hammond Park. The store will provide local residents access to food, groceries and everyday essentials in a convenient location. We thank the Aigle Royal Group for their ongoing support and look forward to opening our doors in the near future’’.
Local Government
The sod-turn event, marking a major milestone for the project, was attended by Deputy Mayor Chontelle Stone of the City of Cockburn and local government officials.
David Scaife, State Member for Cockburn, said:
“Hammond Park is a growing suburb in Cockburn that needs a major shopping centre. I’m pleased that the Cook Government recognised that need by granting development approval for this centre on Whadjuk Drive. With construction now commencing, I’m looking forward to celebrating the opening with other local families in the near future.”
The Hammond Park Shopping Centre will also feature 15 specialty tenancies, offering a vibrant mix of food, beverage and everyday convenience retailers tailored to the local community.
Hoskins Contracting has been appointed as the lead construction partner, bringing extensive experience in delivering retail infrastructure.
“Hoskins is thrilled to be awarded this project following the successful and seamless delivery of the Midland Saleyard Stage 2 works for Aigle Royal,” said Brett Hoskins, Managing Director. “It will no doubt act as a showcase of our team’s localised, built-form capability in collaboration with an exceptional broader project team.”
The centre’s design takes cues from the surrounding bushland and aims to establish a welcoming and inclusive neighbourhood hub. The project will feature a contemporary material palette, activated public spaces and integration with Franklin Reserve and the future Main Street.
This is the sixth retail centre developed by Aigle Royal Group, whose growing portfolio reflects their strong commitment to creating vibrant communities across Western Australia. Previous projects include neighbourhood and large-format centres such as The Saleyard in Midland, Singleton Village Shopping Centre and Southern River Square, each tailored to meet the specific needs of its local community through thoughtful planning and tenant acquisition.
The centre is expected to open in Q3 2026. Leasing opportunities are now available, offering retailers the chance to be part of a landmark development in a thriving, high-growth area.
